Limpley Stoke CC (Cricket Club)
We currently sponsor Limpley Stoke Cricket Club – The club was established in 1990 and have recently joined the North Somerset Crusader League and were promoted in their first year. We have sponsored them with a lump sum over two years and it is up to them how they spend it!
Advert - We’re only in it for the money.
This financial year the Hutchinson Jonas Group sponsored Limpley Stoke Cricket Club to their second successive promotion (£500). We attended the PROPS (children with severe learning difficulties) Christmas Carol service and dropped off a cheque for £500 to add to the £1000 we raised for them in our Full Toss Charity Cricket Match and the £500 we gave them for some technical equipment (midi creator)oh, and a regular monthly donation.
Meanwhile Jane Jonas visited her old place of work, the House of Commons, as a guest of the Autistic Society and subsequently donated £1500 to the National Autistic Society -then put her money where her mouth is by taking on an autistic part-time employee. Jonas again stepped in to help with the Samworth Brothers Charity Challenge, giving £2000.
Recognising that obesity was becoming a problem (not least his own), Joint Group MD Scott Hutchinson did the Bath half marathon for charity, then sponsored the Youth Rugby Team for the Bath Combination – paying £1000 to a squad of under 21 year old players from all backgrounds and walks of life. The Chiefs touch rugby team were given £250 to spend on shirts. Bromley and Beckenham Hockey Club were sponsored to the tune of £500. Stacey Griffin became the recipient of the first Hutchinson Jonas Award for Best Student on Placement and was given £500 to presumably fund an addiction to Countdown and Pot Noodles.
A major client went bust owing us £38,000.00 but we still made sure our contractor (Peter S) was paid his full fee (we were not insured). After being approached by the head of fundraising at the
